The Georgia Policy Labs in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies invites proposals for its inaugural Engaged Research Competition, which will award up to $35,000 to support engaged research with public or nonprofit partners. The competition is open to all tenure-track assistant professors at Georgia State University. Funds can be used for course releases, summer salary and more from January–June 2023.
These funds are intended to remove the structural barriers from conducting engaged research (e.g., the longer time to publication when answering questions of practice, complications setting up data sharing agreements, and time spent building trust with a partner).
Applicants must apply through Georgia State’s Internal Grants portal. Applications must be submitted by Sept. 30, 2022, at 5:15 p.m. ET. Applications will be reviewed by a committee, with award decisions expected by the end of October.
