- Katherine Key is a doctoral candidate in economics at Georgia State University. Her research focuses on the economics of education, utilizing quantitative, survey, and experimental methods. In particular, she is interested in teacher hiring and methods to improve the quality of the teacher pool. Her research has been funded by Georgia State’s Center for the Economic Analysis of Risk. She is also a 2019 Dan E. Sweat Fellow. She works directly with school district human resource department leaders to provide analysis in support of data-driven policy and partner-led priorities.
