- Biography
Myla Williams is an undergraduate research assistant with the Georgia Policy Labs assisting with the organization’s qualitative research efforts. She is also an Achieve Atlanta scholar. She is currently pursuing a B.A. in political science at Georgia State University. Myla served as the student services chair and senator for the College of Arts and Science, holding these positions in the 92nd and 93rd Student Government Association (SGA) administrations. She also serves as the SGA student representative to the Student Advisory Council and the Student Advisory Council of the College of Arts and Sciences. She volunteers with Wall Street Juniors doing community cleanup and financial literacy with other students on campus and also serves as the president of the Black Sophomore Society. Outside of GSU, she is the chief of staff at Georgia Youth Justice Coalition and volunteers with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation. She has created significant initiatives to give students the necessary resources, from mental health resources to recreational partnerships. Myla is a proud graduate of Atlanta Public Schools and intends on going to law school after graduating.
