- Biography
Za Eng Mawi is a graduate research assistant with Georgia Policy Labs. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in economics at Georgia State University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Georgia Gwinnett College and a master’s degree in economics from Georgia State University. Her research interests include the economics of education, social mobility, and economic development. Specifically, she is working on a research paper about how the age at arrival impacts the educational outcomes of refugee children, which is inspired by her own experience as a Burmese refugee.
